You are about to begin a writing task session. This task is for the Quarter 1 Narrative Writing Assessment.

Your writing task will be completed in 60 minutes. During this time, you should plan, write, revise, and edit. You will type your essay but you will not receive more time to re-type your writing. You will submit the draft. If you work steadily, you should be able to complete your work during this amount of time.

If you want to find and use information from a text to help your with this writing, you may do that prior to starting.

Important details:

• You MUST select a text to refer to for this assessment.  (Book or story of your choice)
• You will have 60 minutes for this task. Do not start the task, if you have less than 60 minutes.
• There will be a timer on the screen notifying you of the remaining time.
• If you have an IEP, 504, or ELL plan, please contact Ms. A to arrange the appropriate accommodations.
• You may access the text of your choice to cite during the assessment.
